"Moments With the Moon" Bjorg-Elise Tuppen

Blessed with rugged Arctic landscapes and hypnotic northern lights, Norway is a dream destination for most landscape photographers. In her recent photo series, Norwegian artist, graphic designer and photographer Bjorg-Elise Tuppen focuses on a more subdued but no less captivating subject: the moon.

Tuppen's series of photographs titled "Moments With the Moon" captures the moon looming over houses, mountain ranges or frozen lakes, pale against dawn or evening skies. Although the palette is muted, the moon is undoubtedly the most striking feature in each shot, and the scenery below complements its beauty.

Saint-Michel Chapel on the Aiguille Rock, France 🇫🇷

The Saint-Michel chapel has stood on a volcanic hill in the village of Aiguilles, near Le Puy-en-Velai, for more than a thousand years.
This is an architectural monument of exceptional beauty, a combination of the majesty of nature and the creativity of human hands.
The chapel in honor of St. Archangel Michael at an altitude of 82 m was built by order of Bishop Puja. He decided to build it on a sacred rock, which the Romans considered a place of worship for the god Mercury.

There are 268 steps carved into the basalt rock leading to the top. Inside the temple there are small windows and a floor that has crumbled over time. Ancient frescoes have been preserved on the ceiling and walls, which have faded over time, but are still clearly visible. The facade is decorated with colorful stone mosaics. At the top of the facade are five reliefs with biblical scenes.
