THE BATTLE IS THE LORD’S

I Samuel 17:47 NKJV says, “Then all this assembly shall know that the Lord does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the Lord’s, and He will give you into our hands.”

These words were spoken by David before he fought Goliath. David stood before a giant, not with fear, but with faith. He made it clear that victory does not come from human weapons, strength, or skill. Salvation and victory come from the Lord. David wanted everyone to know that God alone controls the outcome of every battle. When God fights, defeat is impossible.

If you want to be strong and victorious in all your battles, you must have this same understanding that David had. The battle is the Lord’s. David did not see the fight as his personal struggle. He saw it as God’s battle. That understanding removed fear from his heart and filled him with bold confidence. When you know God is fighting for you, you stand firm even when the enemy looks bigger than you.

David also understood that it was not spear or sword that gave him victory, but God. Saul trusted armor and weapons, but David trusted the name of the Lord. Weapons can fail, but God never fails. This truth is still powerful today. The same God who fought for David fights for you now.

In the same way today, it is not your education or experience that will make you successful in whatever you pursue. These things are good, but they are not the source of victory. It is the grace of God. Grace opens doors that skill cannot open. Grace brings results where human effort reaches its limit.

With God, it is not about material things and human standards, but His grace. You can start a business with small capital, but God will give you grace to defeat competitors and dominate the market. God subdued enemies in the past, and He can also subdue business competitors today. He can give you loyal customers and lasting influence.

In your career, God will lift you up. Those who oppose you will not stop your promotion. In your family, God will fight against schemes, lies, and evil wishes spoken over you. He will give you honor. People will not always look down on you.

Your battle is God’s battle. Relax and surrender everything to Him. David defeated Goliath not by size or weapons, but by confidence in God’s power. You can do the same.

Prayer: Lord, I surrender every battle to You, trusting Your power, grace, and victory in my life.

GOD HIMSELF IS YOUR STRENGTH

Psalms 18:39 NKJV “For You have armed me with strength for the battle; You have subdued under me those who rose up against me.”

This is a powerful testimony from David. He clearly shows that victory does not begin with human ability. It begins with God. David does not say I trained myself or I found my own strength. He says God armed him with strength. This means strength is a gift from God. It is given, not produced by human effort. When God gives strength, it is not weak or temporary. It is strength designed for battle and for victory.

The verse also shows two clear actions of God. First, God gives strength. Second, God subdues the enemies. David did not defeat his enemies by himself. God worked on his behalf. This teaches us that God does not only prepare us for the battle but also controls the outcome of the battle. Victory is not by power or wisdom but by God who fights for His people.

This shows that strength is something God gives. We do not generate it ourselves. God equips His people for victory. When God equips you, you are not lacking anything. You may feel weak in yourself, but God’s strength covers your weakness. That is why believers can stand firm even in difficult seasons. God Himself becomes their strength.

Our fight is not carnal. It is spiritual. When you fight spiritually, God will manifest your victory in the physical world. Prayer, faith, obedience, and trust in God are spiritual weapons. When these are in place, God works behind the scenes. He changes hearts, situations, and outcomes in ways we cannot see.

Now the problem is that many of us see only the physical side of our battles. We are driven by feelings and emotions. We begin to fight people who oppose us. When we do this, we interfere with God’s process. People are not the real enemy. God never asked us to fight in the flesh. He asked us to trust Him.

The verse says, “You have armed me with strength.” This is spiritual strength. Then it says, “You have subdued under me those who rose up against me.” It is God who subdues your enemies under you. Your role is to pray and trust. God’s role is to fight. Sometimes we think God is late. Sometimes we think we must help Him. But God is never late. He is always on time. He will bring down every enemy one by one, in His perfect way.

Prayer: Father, be my strength in every battle and fight for me completely.

You can go to someone to ask for advice or help because you see that they are older than you, believing that they have wisdom and knowledge and therefore will give you a solution to your problem. But you may end up being disappointed. 😞

There are people who, on the outside, appear to be wise because of their age or the position they hold, but in reality they have neither wisdom nor understanding, nor the knowledge to help someone out of the challenges they are facing. The Bible says that Nabal was a rich man, but “he was a foolish man.”

There are also people who are fully grown adults but do shameful things. They have no character, no morals, and no fear of God. They are found in our families, in different offices, and even in our churches. An older man or woman whom you would expect to help you, teach you good morals, do what is right, and rebuke evil, is instead the one doing strange and shameful things.

Age does not automatically make a person wise. The Bible says that when Solomon was old, his wives turned his heart and he worshiped other gods. There are people who change even in their old age and become strange people.

Therefore, be careful. The world is very corrupt, and from biblical times until now there is nothing new under the sun. Trust God more than you trust human beings. There are many problems in our marriages and families that have failed to be solved by elders or older people.

When you face challenges in your marriage, at work, or in your family, pray to God first. Commit your problem to God, and He will solve it. Then He will guide you to the right person who has the wisdom and knowledge to help you move past where you are stuck, someone you would never have thought had the ability to help you.

Have a blessed Sunday. 🙏🙏🙏
HOPE IN DARKNESS

Micah 7:8 NKJV says, “Do not rejoice over me, my enemy; When I fall, I will arise; When I sit in darkness, The Lord will be a light to me.”

This is a powerful declaration of faith spoken in a moment of great distress. The prophet Micah speaks honestly about falling and sitting in darkness, yet he refuses to give victory to the enemy. He understands that falling is not the end. Darkness is not permanent. His confidence is not in his strength but in the Lord. Even when everything around is dark, God Himself becomes the light.

We never want to be in trouble. No one enjoys pain, loss, or confusion. Yet sometimes life places us in hard situations where tomorrow feels uncertain. You may not know how things will change or how you will come out of the situation. At such times, darkness surrounds the heart and mind. On top of that, there may be people who wish to see you fail. These moments are painful and lonely. These moments are when we need God the most.

The way Micah speaks in this verse shows that he understood such moments well. He seems like someone who had fallen and was surrounded by darkness. Still, he did not speak fear. He spoke hope. This hope came from the knowledge he had about God. He knew that falling did not mean destruction. He believed that God would lift him up. He had this knowledge that his situation was temporary because God never abandons His people. This knowledge gave him peace and confidence.

When Micah says, “When I sit in darkness,” it shows a picture of a person sitting quietly in pain. It feels like being alone with many thoughts, a broken heart, and no visible breakthrough. In that exact moment, Micah makes a powerful confession, “The Lord will be a light to me.” He chooses faith over fear.

Today, you may be in a similar situation. But God sent me to tell you this truth. There is hope in darkness. Though you fall, God will lift you again. He is with you and He will help you.

Prayer: Lord, be my light in darkness, lift me again, and restore my hope fully.

IT WAS ALL DONE BY HIM

Colossians 1:13 NKJV says, “He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love.”

This verse is a full declaration of what Jesus has done for every believer. Paul begins by saying “He has delivered us.” The word "He" is important. It means that Jesus alone is the one who delivers you. You do not deliver yourself. You do not save yourself. You do not pay for your own freedom. When Jesus died on the cross and rose again, He completed the work of salvation once and for all. Nothing was left unfinished. Your salvation is complete.

Many believers struggle because they think they must pay something to God to be free. They feel they must cry harder, fight demons longer, or perform spiritual tasks to earn deliverance. But the truth is this: Jesus paid everything. You only need to believe and receive the grace that He has already provided. Salvation is a gift, not a debt.

Paul also wrote that we were delivered “from the power of darkness.” Notice the tense "delivered" which is past tense. The moment you believed in Christ, you were instantly removed from the authority of darkness. The devil lost every legal right to dominate you. If this is true, then why do many believers still suffer? The answer is simple: lack of knowledge and lack of faith. Faith comes by hearing the right message. Hearing about your freedom, not your bondage. Many teachings today talk more about curses, demons, and oppression than about what Jesus has already finished. This kind of teaching brings fear instead of faith.

The verse continues, “and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love.” The Amplified version says “transferred us.” Here again it is "He" It is God who transfers you; you cannot transfer yourself. Like a student moved from one school to another, your environment changes. You now live by new rules, under new leadership, and with a new identity. You cannot wear the old uniform in the new school. In the same way, the spirits of darkness, the old habits, and the old identity are not allowed in the kingdom of God. When God transferred you, he gave you new clothes, a new life, and a new position. You are free and made new.

Your life must be centered on Him. Surrender to His will and He will take care of you. Focus on knowing Him, understanding His finished work, and feeding on the good news of your salvation. Avoid negativity and wrong teachings. Spend time in prayer, studying this message of salvation, and fellowship with God.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, help me surrender completely and walk fully in Your finished work. Amen.

FELLOWSHIP WITH GOD IS A POWERFUL WEAPON AGAINST THE ENEMY

1 John 1:6 NIV says, “If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth.”

This verse is a clear message from Apostle John that true fellowship with God must show in the way we live. Fellowship is not a claim we make with our lips, it is a lifestyle. If we say we walk with God but still live in darkness, still entertain sin, and still allow evil habits to control us, then our confession is false. Real fellowship with God produces light, purity, and strength. When the presence of God fills your life, darkness loses its power. You cannot walk closely with God and be overpowered easily by darkness at the same time.

One of the biggest problems with believers in this generation is that we have given the enemy too much attention and we have forgotten our relationship with God. Many believers spend most of their prayer time asking for material things or fighting an enemy they think is blocking their blessings. For many, prayer is only about warfare, battles, and breaking spiritual altars. In short, we live our Christian life fighting the devil, and we are so busy with warfare that we do not have time to build a relationship with God.

The truth is this: It is very hard to overcome the enemy when you do not have spiritual power. Spiritual power does not come from shouting, long warfare prayers, or 21 days of fighting evil altars. Spiritual power is built through fellowship with your heavenly Father. Fellowship gives you strength, stability, and authority.

One young man came to me one day, crying. He told me he had been on a 40 days fast, trying to break chains of darkness and fight ancestral spirits. He struggled with promiscuity and believed he inherited that spirit from his grandfather, who had many wives and slept with women randomly. The grandfather would also appear in the young man’s dreams, eating and speaking with him. So he prayed intensely, rebuking and breaking these bonds, but nothing changed. That is why he decided to fast for 40 days.

Why did he come to me crying? Because on the 38th day of his fast, he fell into fornication three times with two different women while still fasting. He said, “I don’t know what happened. A strong sexual desire came over me and i couldn't resist it." In the morning he slept with a woman in the same compound he lived in, and later called another one to come in the afternoon.

To make the long story short, after talking to him he admitted that he wanted to stop fornication because he was losing money to women. His co-workers were progressing and investing their salaries, but he had nothing because of his lifestyle. His fight was about money. And another thing: he knew almost nothing about the Word of God except the verses he used in warfare prayers. He did not know any Scripture beyond what he used to fight ancestral spirits.

I told him, “You are empty. That is why the enemy defeated you.” To overcome the enemy, you must be spiritually strong, and this strength comes through fellowship with God. When you take time to worship Him, thank Him, His power and grace, build a friendship with the Holy Spirit, commune with Him, learn the Word of God, understand what He says about you, and discover your identity in Christ.

What Apostle John was saying in this verse is this: if you say you have fellowship with God and still live in darkness, you are lying. You cannot truly walk with God and be overpowered by darkness at the same time. It is as simple as that. So focus on building your fellowship with God.

Prayer: Lord, help me to walk in true fellowship with You and overcome all darkness.

DON’T HOLD ON TO DARKNESS, LET IT GO

Romans 13:12 NKJV says, “The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.”

In this verse, Paul is reminding believers that the season of living in darkness is gone. The “night” represents sin, ignorance, rebellion, and the old life without Christ. But now “the day is at hand,” meaning Christ has brought truth, salvation, and the power to live a new life. Because of this, we must cast off—completely remove anything connected to darkness. And we must put on, intentionally choose, God’s light, purity, and righteousness. This is not a suggestion; it is a command and a call to action for every believer.

Becoming light is not automatic. It does not happen by luck, accident, or wishful thinking. You do not just wake up one day as a better person who naturally lives the will of God. It is a choice, and it is a daily decision. The grace of God has been given, but it is your responsibility to take that grace and work with it. Grace is like a cheque that has already been written for you. It carries value, but it becomes useful only when you decide to cash it. If you ignore it or treat it lightly, you may end up wasting what God has given, just like someone who has money but uses it for foolish things.

In the same way, the grace of God is powerful, but you cannot take hold of it while still clinging to darkness. Light and darkness do not mix. 2 Corinthians 6:14 NKJV says, “For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?” For you to choose light, you must let go of darkness completely.

Romans 13:12 tells us to “cast off the works of darkness.” These works include sexual sin, hatred, anger, idolatry, witchcraft, jealousy, envy, lies, deception, drunkenness, wild living, unclean thoughts, and evil desires. Many believers still practice these things secretly yet expect to be respected as children of God. But people see the truth through your actions. When they call you out, you say they are judgmental or condemning. But the truth is that your actions condemn you. Light exposes darkness.

If you truly want to be a child of light, let go of every work of darkness. Stop sinning. You already know what you are doin is wrong, so why continue in it? Do not let darkness overpower you. Ask God to help you. Choose light, pursue light, and darkness will disappear from your life.

Prayer: Lord, help me cast off darkness completely and walk in Your light with strength, purity, and obedience. Amen.

BE THE LIGHT

Ephesians 5:8 NKJV says, “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.”

This verse gives a powerful revelation about our identity in Christ. The scripture does not say we were in darkness, it says we were darkness itself. Darkness was our nature, our condition, and our spiritual identity before salvation. We lived without God, without truth, and without direction. But when Jesus saved us, everything changed. We did not just receive light; we became light in the Lord. Now the nature of God’s light lives in us and because of that we are called to walk as children of light.

This means that before salvation darkness was part of who we were. It influenced how we thought, how we behaved, and how we lived. But after salvation we carry the nature of light. The life of Christ shines in us and through us. Light is stronger than darkness. Light reveals truth, brings clarity, and destroys confusion.

Many people spend too much time fighting darkness in their lives and families. They pray long prayers attacking evil forces, curses, family patterns, witches, and wizards. They fight day and night. But the truth is the Bible never told us to fight the devil. It said resist him because Jesus already defeated him. James 4:7 says "resist the devil and he will flee from you."

We resist the devil by becoming light. When you walk in light darkness cannot enter you or your family. It cannot enter your marriage or your business or your job. Light pushes darkness away. The only way to keep darkness out is to keep the light shining. Where there is light darkness has no place.

If you want the devil out of your life become light. Do not focus on fighting him. Focus on brightening your light. Seek the presence of God. Seek the anointing. Seek the power of the Holy Spirit. Where there is strong light no darkness, no bad luck, and no witchcraft can come near.

I remember a time when I was struggling with many things. Every day I had more than ten prayer points of destroying things. I fought evil altars, demons, witches, and enemies. But one day God taught me about light. I entered my dark room at night and wanted the darkness to leave. I did not shout or pray. I simply switched on the light and darkness disappeared. It was instant. I could see clearly and move freely.

Then the Holy Spirit spoke to me. If you want darkness out of your life turn on the light. If you want peace in your family be the light. If you want total victory be the light and darkness will disappear everywhere you go.

The same is for you. Be the light. Focus on shining. Darkness will disappear from your life.

Prayer: Lord make me shine with your light so darkness will never enter my life.

WALKING IN THE LIGHT

Psalms 119:105 NKJV declares, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”

God’s Word gives clarity for your present situation and understanding for your future direction. Without the Word, you walk blindly. But with the Word, you walk with confidence, safety, and purpose. God does not want you to guess your way through life; He wants His Word to guide every step you take.

To walk in the Light, the believer must first understand that God’s Word is the only true guide. Light reveals, corrects, warns, and directs. When the Word shines in your path, confusion must leave and darkness must disappear.

To walk in the Light, the believer must:

1. Use God’s Word as daily guidance.
You cannot follow God’s path if the Bible remains closed. Every day brings new choices, battles, and temptations. You need the Word every day to guide your heart and mind.

2. Make decisions based on the truth in Scripture.
The world gives many opinions, but only God’s Word is truth. Walking in the Light means refusing to be led by emotions or pressure, but choosing what God has already spoken.

3. Allow God’s Word to expose wrong paths and lead to righteous ones.
Sometimes you are in a situation and you truly do not know what is right. Do not rely on your own understanding. Read the Word and pray for God to show you the right direction through His truth.

Many people found themselves in trouble, darkness, and deep pain because they neglected the Word when making decisions. They acted without seeking God’s counsel. They listened to people, trends, and social media instead of the Scriptures.

Ask yourself today: Who is guiding my steps? Are your decisions influenced by what you see others doing? Just because it is popular does not mean it is right. You are different. Do not seek to blend in; seek to obey God.

Make the Word your guidance. It will show you the right thing to do. In my own life, family, marriage, and business, even when my wife and I have different opinions, our conclusion is always: What does the Word of God say? If something is not directly written in the Bible, then I ask: Is this decision in alignment with God’s Word? These are kind of questions that guide me in decision.

Today, let the Word be your light. You will never walk in darkness. And if you are already in darkness, the Word will guide you out.

Prayer: Lord, let Your Word guide my steps and lead me into Your perfect light.

EVERY YOKE OF OPPRESSION WILL BE BROKEN IN JESUS NAME

Isaiah 10:27 NKJV says, “It shall come to pass in that day That his burden will be taken away from your shoulder, And his yoke from your neck, And the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil.”

This is one of the most powerful promises God gave to His people. A yoke was a wooden bar placed on the neck of oxen to control and oppress them. Spiritually, a yoke represents anything that limits your life, weighs you down, or holds you in bondage. God declared that a day would come when every burden on your shoulders would be removed and every yoke around your neck would be destroyed, not by human power, but by the anointing. The anointing is the supernatural power of God that breaks, destroys and removes every chain of darkness.

God will deliver you from every oppression, whether it is forces of darkness, curses, addictions or people who oppress you. No matter how long you have been in that battle, God has already appointed your day of freedom. The anointing that destroys yokes is real, and it is working right now on your behalf.

Israel was heavily oppressed by the Assyrians. They felt hopeless, powerless and unsure if they would ever come out of their situation. But in the middle of their pain, God sent this message through the prophet Isaiah. He told them that a day was coming when they would be set free and the yoke would be destroyed forever. This prophecy is fulfilled in your life today. Your day has come. The anointing to break the yoke is already available.

Last time we saw that Jesus was anointed by God to set free those who are oppressed. Jesus is in you. That means God has already fulfilled his word and then He sent Holy Spirit he also lives in you. This means the anointing to break every yoke of oppression is in you. And your day is now. The time is now. That day prophesied in Isaiah 10:27 is now fulfilled in Jesus Christ. Jesus, the breaker of chains and yokes, is here and He lives in you.

Declare your freedom in His name. Apply the blood of Jesus over every area where you are struggling. Revelation 12:11 says they overcame the devil by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony. Use it today and be free in Jesus's name. Amen.

Prayer: Lord Jesus break every yoke in my life and set me free completely today.
