🎉Dealer's Pop-Up Shops now available!

A Pop-Up Shop is for Dealers, aspiring to experience selling their products in the Dealers’ Den.

You can test the waters by selling your products without having to commit to a full con’s worth of Dealers’ Space, or if you’re a veteran who is only attending for a day or two, you can still have the opportunity to sell at ConFuzzled.

We must apologise for a delay in processing payments from registrations.

A system error has forced us to adopt a more manual approach to processing your payments, and this is slowing us down.

As such, please note the following:

➡️ The payment deadline for residential registration is still 4th November
➡️ We will not review any unpaid registration for cancellation until 9th November

We recommend that you email [email protected] once you have made payment.

So long as you get your payment to us by the deadline, you will not be at risk of cancellation. However, you may not see your payment marked as received until our team have had the opportunity to process it manually.

We thank you for your patience during this time - we hope to get everyone processed as soon as possible.(Note, for non-residential attendees, you will have your own deadline based on when you submitted your registration).

We have today emailed all dealers to advise them if they have been successful in their applications for a table.

Please check your inbox and spam folders.

If you have been successful, the next steps will be to make payment, with the relevant details available in the registration system at https://reg.confuzzled.org.uk (your fees will soon be added to your total due, but this may take a couple of days to show).

⚠️ IMPORTANT: The deadline for your dealer table will be different from your standard registration - however, only your dealer table deadline will show in registration once the adjustment has been made. YOUR PRIMARY REGISTRATION WILL STILL HAVE THE ORIGINAL DEADLINE. Typically this will be 4th November.

We will also soon open for applications for our ‘Pop-Up Shops’ - which provide an alternative way to sell, or handle ‘pick-ups’ for those who have made sales in advance of the convention.

THIS CHANGE WILL TAKE EFFECT NO LATER THAN 14th NOVEMBER

It’s been building with us for a while. We’ve been squirming in our seats as various changes in both the values and technical changes in the platform have mounted. We’ve decided to walk away.

The reasons for this in detail are as follows,

1️⃣Values: Twitter over the last year has rapidly devolved in a manner that is incompatible with ConFuzzled’s values. We feel that continuing to operate on the platform is no longer compatible with how we wish to act as an organisation.

2️⃣Technical Changes: The changing of how tools such as blocking works has made the way we use Twitter increasingly at odds with what we are trying to achieve.

3️⃣Changes in ToS: The recent changes to ToS with regards to the automatic acceptance that all content can be scraped in order to train Twitter AI is untenable for us. We sometimes post content that includes art or media produced and owned by the convention and community artists. This ToS change would mean that we could no longer do so without giving away control of this media in a manner that may result in future misuse/abuse.

So where can you find us now?

(We'll still be using out telegram announcement channel for news too).

To start off, we’re gonna focus on BlueSky as our primary place to post out social media news, alerts and announcements.

We’re also reviewing other platforms, to see what else we can do to make sure everyone is kept up to date with ConFuzzled news.

So what will happen to our twitter accounts? Well, we don’t want to delete them. It’s always possible things might change for the better. So, we’ll keep the accounts but they will be dormant.

This includes the main @cfconvention account, as well as all mascot accounts, and any accounts for departments within the convention.  They will go silent.

ATTENTION!

It is indeed the case that we are open for non-residential (attending-only) AND day ticket sales!

Day tickets give you access to the convention for one or more full days (depending on what you buy), whereas 'Non-Residential' gives you access for the full duration of the convention.

(also, if you applied for a room in the lottery but did not get one, you can contact [email protected] to convert to Non-residential if you want!)

⚠️Please note: For day tickets you need to follow a special process! Here's what to do:

1️⃣ Create a new registration - just follow the standard process. There will be no specific option to select 'Day Ticket' - but please enter into the notes which day(s) you want

2️⃣ Complete the registration, ignoring any prices shown: You will NOT be asked to pay in order to complete the reg process (this comes later). Be sure to verify your email address.

3️⃣ Immediately email [email protected] requesting your registration be 'converted' to a Day Ticket(s) type. Again, include which day(s) you want.

Reg team will then pick up your request, and -subject to approval- you'll be asked to make payment for the correct amount.

All registration options are strictly subject to availability!
IMPORTANT UPDATE TO POLICY

We're making an important change to our policy for ConFuzzled:

For 2025 onwards, only registered attendees may be ‘on site’ at the venue during the convention.
