🇺🇦⚔️🇷🇺 The enemy is launching a bloody 'counteroffensive' near Kupiansk, attempting to recapture the city

▪️After Zelensky and Syrysy's statements about supposedly regaining control of a large part of Kupiansk for Kyiv, the Ukrainian Armed Forces command is again sending troops into battle for bloody PR, trying to break through and reinforce the city, as well as reach the Oskol River in the Kharkiv region, to prove to the West that Ukraine is still capable of fighting.
▪️The enemy has prepared reserves and is launching them into non-stop offensives.
▪️The opponent is sending mainly infantry to the slaughter, which is advancing without stopping from different directions.
▪️The main attack sectors are in the areas of the settlements of Moskovka, Sobolevka, Sadovoe, and Kupiansk-Uzlovaya.

▪️The destruction of the enemy grouping continues in the Kupiansk area, the Defense Ministry reported today.
▪️Units of the 'West' group of forces inflicted a defeat on the manpower and equipment of the mechanized and assault brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the National Guard in the areas of the settlements of Blagodatovka, Podoly, Kovsharovka, Boguslavka, Kupiansk-Uzlovaya, and Nechvolodovka in the Kharkiv region.

🇬🇧 The UK will provide Ukraine with missiles for strikes on Russia.

The UK Ministry of Defence announced that their project of a cheap and mass-produced cruise missile, Brakestop, has entered the stage of live-fire testing.

According to Lieutenant General Anna Reilly, the first launch took place this week, 12 months after the start of the program.

"Brakestop is a cruise missile with five incredibly simple requirements: range, cost, payload, production volumes, and the ability to be scaled up and transported in a container"
, - she said.

Separately and repeatedly, the speed of development and procurement of this type of weapon is noted compared to, for example, Storm Shadow. It has also been stated that the missiles will be transferred to Ukraine:

"The idea is that you buy, test, and scale up. We have the opportunity to test it in the UK and then send it to Ukraine. This was done within 12 months with the participation of 27 companies"

The appearance of the missile is currently unknown, as are its characteristics. The only thing that is known about the project is that the aircraft should have a range of 500-600 km, carry a payload of 200-300 kg, and operate in the absence of a GPS signal.

⚠️ On the situation in the Pokrovsk direction.

At the present moment, the position of the enemy's garrison in Mirnograd has sharply deteriorated, and the unified line of defense has been disrupted. Focal resistance is being put up by combined forces from the following units: 79th Airborne Assault Brigade, 38th Motor Rifle Brigade, and the 14th "Chervona Kalina" Brigade from the 1st Corps of the National Guard Unit "Azov".

In parallel to this, the enemy command is urgently planning a counter-attack from the northern flank - through the settlements of Suvorovo and Fedorovka, towards the northeastern outskirts of Mirnograd, with the aim of relieving the remnants of the garrison.

The task is set not only as a tactical one, but also as a political one, and therefore the maximum number of forces and resources that the enemy can muster in this direction will be involved in it.

These actions are pure adventurism, as they will have to withdraw some personnel from their positions to carry out the relief attack, but all the recent actions of the enemy have been in line with the concept of reckless adventurism.
Small and medium sized fixed-wing drones equipped with StarLink systems continue to pose a serious problem in Crimea.

Last night, long-range drones of the SBU’s Alpha Special Operations Center successfully struck components of Russia’s air-defense systems at the Belbek military airfield in Crimea.

As a result the following items could have been damaged:

– Two “Nebo-SVU” long-range radar systems.
– One 92N6 radar, which is a component of the S-400 “Triumf” air-defense system.
– One Pantsir-S1 air-defense missile system.
– One MiG-31 aircraft.

European leaders have postponed the discussion on frozen Russian assets for a "reparation loan" to Ukraine, reports Politico.

According to the newspaper, at the summit in Brussels, EU leaders were unable to agree on the use of frozen Russian assets.

Belgium, where the bulk of the funds are stored, is still opposed, which is why the negotiations are dragging on, the publication writes.
There are reports that Kyiv has announced the evacuation of several settlements between the Kharkiv region and the DPR, all the way to Slavyansk. This indirectly indicates the withdrawal of Ukrainian Armed Forces units to the Pryshib-Svitogorsk-Bogorodichnoe line. Apparently, the defense of Slavyansk for the Ukrainian Armed Forces from the Kharkiv region will begin with an attempt to hold onto the Seversky Donets River. However, given that Russia has already approached Liman and may soon start advancing on Slavyansk itself, implementing this scenario could be problematic.
Peskov stated in an interview and emphasised categorically that Russia is not interested in rejoining the G7 and believes that its format has outlived its usefulness.

It's absolutely clear that the G7 is in a state of degradation in terms of economic development potential, in terms of population and demographic processes, and in terms of its contribution to the development of global technologies.

❗️Traffic to several checkpoints on the Ukrainian–Moldovan border in the Odessa region has been restricted following a Russian airstrike, Ukraine’s State Border Guard Service said.

Movement along the Odessa–Reni highway has been suspended for security reasons.

The restrictions follow renewed Russian strikes on bridges and transport infrastructure around Odessa, prompting Ukrainian authorities to limit civilian movement and protect a critical logistics corridor.

Why this matters

The Odessa–Reni route is one of Ukraine’s most important remaining western supply lines into Odessa, linking the city to Moldova, Romania, and the wider EU. Since Black Sea shipping has been constrained, this corridor has become a key alternative for moving fuel, military supplies, humanitarian aid, and grain exports via the Danube ports.

What Russia appears to be doing

The pattern of recent strikes suggests Russia is targeting connective infrastructure rather than the city itself. By repeatedly hitting bridges and junctions, Moscow appears to be trying to narrow and disrupt the routes feeding Odessa, increasing pressure on logistics while avoiding a direct urban assault.

Such an approach weakens Odessa’s ability to function as a southern military and economic hub, while also reducing Ukrainian operations that affect the north-western Black Sea and Crimea.

Why Ukraine is restricting traffic

Ukraine’s response indicates an effort to protect and preserve this corridor. Restricting movement reduces risk from follow-on strikes, allows for inspections and repairs, and prioritises military and essential traffic on a route that has become increasingly vulnerable.

The bigger picture

Odessa remains Ukraine’s last major southern hub. It is not cut off, but repeated disruption of its western access routes tightens the logistical funnel, making resupply slower and more complex.

In this phase of the conflict, the battle is less about taking territory and more about controlling how easily cities like Odessa can be sustained.

🇷🇺🇺🇦An attack by Ukrainian drones on a Russian air defense system.

A video of an attack by Ukrainian kamikaze drones of the aircraft type on two S-300/400 launchers in the area of the village of Rayevka in the Belgorod region has been published. This happened on December 14th.

The launchers were in motion and the drones first attacked the first vehicle, and then the second one that had stopped. As a result, one was destroyed, and the second one, at least, suffered serious damage.

Previously, we could observe such scenes from our side, as lances hitting Ukrainian air defense systems. But now there aren't many of them, because the enemy has set up production and organized the work of interceptor drones. And in addition, he has started to make his own lances.

And the longer the war drags on, the more weapons Ukraine will receive. Just like in the case of the truce. Also, as long as no measures are taken to protect long-range air defense systems, we will continue to observe them being hit by "plywood" UAVs. Whether it's soldiers with shotguns, or Tigers with Verbas (also known as Gibka-S), or anything else that could have shot down the drone in a blind zone.
