- The company has secured an additional $6.6 billion in funding, raising its total to an estimated $13.5 billion as it works toward its ambitious goal of achieving 'artificial general intelligence.' This endeavor demands increased computing power and electricity. Investors now value the company at $157 billion, a sharp rise from its $86 billion valuation in February. According to the Wall Street Journal, the funding round was led by venture-capital firm Thrive Capital, contributing $1.25 billion, and Microsoft, with $1 billion. Notably, Softbank and Nvidia also joined as first-time investors.

2. China Beefs Up Computing Power By 25% As AI Race Drives Demand
- As of June, China’s computing capacity reached 246 EFLOPS (246 quintillion floating-point operations per second), marking a 25 percent increase in the first half of the year, fueled by the growing demands of artificial intelligence (AI) and other technologies. Within this overall capacity, intelligent computing power—specifically used for AI-related tasks—surged by 65 percent. With this rapid expansion, China continues to solidify its position as the world’s second-largest computing powerhouse, trailing only the United States.

DGPT-PC is Launching Soon

We are excited to share that DGPT-PC is coming soon! After more than a year of framework development and stress testing, DGPT will launch the computing power section for PC. In short, the PC-based computing network will further enhance the efficiency of training tasks and scale of AI computing power, while expanding the usage range and unit value of your existing accelerators.

To ensure a smooth, effective, and orderly rollout of the DGPT-PC program and operations (as the program configuration for PC differs from that of mobile), we have decided to initiate an early whitelist program for DGPT-PC starting today. This means that if you are a DGPT user, you can now submit your account email to apply for the whitelist.

Additionally, please note the following information:

• The program configuration file will be sent to you via email once you are approved for the whitelist.
• The DGPT-PC program currently supports only Linux and Windows systems.
• Details regarding the training specifications, processes, and specifics of the DGPT-PC program will be announced in future communications.
