The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman adds:

In accordance with the legal ruling of Iran's Supreme Leader, under no circumstances will the Iranian nuclear program be changed to a military program.

We will use everything at our disposal to mount a victorious response on the Zionist entity. The nature of the Iranian response will be similar to the nature of the Israeli attack.

The Iraqi government submitted a protest against Israel to the United Nations for the use of its airspace for the attack on Iran.

The Saudis smile quietly. Now there is also official proof. It is not the Saudi airspace that was used for the Israeli attack, but rather the airspace of the Shia axis.

The negotiations for a deal with Hamas

Senior Hamas official Osama Hamdan:
Our position is clear and public and not complicated, but there is no decision in Israel and the US regarding reaching a ceasefire and everything published in the media are "tricks of the occupation".

Will Iran respond to the Israeli attack?

If we examine the public statements of the senior officials of the Iranian regime, led by the Supreme Leader, it is evident that after two days of ambiguous messages, the public statements increasingly indicate a move towards a response.
The sense is created by Iran's Supreme Leader who tweeted yesterday evening on his new Hebrew-language Twitter account that "the Zionist regime made a mistake in its calculations".

The commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards said:
"The consequences of the step taken by the Zionist will be painful for her and beyond what she imagined"

The Iranian Foreign Minister said in a conversation with his intelligence counterpart:
"We will not leave the Israeli attack unanswered."

It is worth continuing to monitor the general nature of the public statements over the next few days to assess what kind of response the Iranians may choose.

More on the unusual strike today in the Haret Saida area 👆

Earlier today, I wrote that the IDF launched its first strike in Haret Saida, near Sidon. The attack resulted in 8 casualties and around 25 injuries. Lebanese sources report that the target of the strike was Hassan Fneish, a senior figure in Hezbollah’s security apparatus and the brother of Lebanese Hezbollah parliament member Muhammad Fneish.

The target, Hassan Fneish, was killed in the strike, along with his wife and some of his children.

There are quite a few people celebrating Fneish’s elimination, even outside of Israel.

Following the video from the IDF spokesperson in Arabic about Hezbollah's "treasure" beneath the al-Sahel Hospital in Dahieh, 👆 Lebanese Christian journalist Sabine Youssef asks:

Why isn't the Lebanese government sending the army and security forces to al-Sahel Hospital to search for the half a billion dollars and use it to assist the displaced or to rebuild the destroyed villages?

What is the state afraid of when Hezbollah is at the height of its collapse?

A New Era in Lebanon 2: After the Syrian Era and the Iranian Era, Lebanon is entering the Israeli Era

Grab a cup of coffee. Make yourself comfortable.

Lebanese Christian film director Joseph Khoury (an opponent of Hezbollah) is calling for genuine peace with Israel rather than a ceasefire. According to him, Lebanon is entering a new era:

Pax Israeliana.

While it’s true that Khoury is not a political figure who makes decisions, what struck me here is his use of the very specific term "Pax Israeliana," which draws on Lebanon’s unflattering history and projects it into the future - following the dramatic changes Israel has brought about in its recent war against Hezbollah.

People are talking about a new era. It’s on the table, and it is being stated openly and freely, without fear.

Winds of change are blowing in Lebanon and the Middle East. History is being made.
