ROM-side Play integrity fix values have been updated to Android 17 Beta 2. Kindly update your PIF values through Settings > Evolver > Misc > Spoofing > Update Play integrity fix (non-random) option 🙂

Hi everyone

Onelots is due to go to the funeral of our late friend, Apelete.

In which time we want to also support his family and friends with flowers and other support.

I've setup a separate tier on our OpenCollective so we can get a nice collection of flowers, card, etc to help them through this difficult time.

In Loving Memory of Apelete Seketeli

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear friend, teammate, and community member, Apelete Seketeli, who passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 16th.

Within Evolution X, Apelete was far more than a contributor. His knowledge, insight, and quiet dedication (especially to the Google Pixel 4/5 series). helped countless users and team members alike. Most recently at FOSDEM, he spoke about the fundamentals and the revival of Pixel support within Evolution X and beyond, sharing his passion with the wider open source community.

Our hearts are with Mawuena, Juliette, and Dodji Seketeli, and with his family, friends, colleagues, and everyone who had the privilege of working alongside him.

We hope and encourage you all, member of the Evolution X community to share their memories, thoughts, and condolences so his family can truly see the impact he had, how far his work reached, how many people he helped, and how many devices continue to live on because of his dedication.

Everything new in Android 17 Beta 1

Android 17 Beta 1 has been released!

And with that, we have updated our default play integrity fix values to the latest values as well. Just update via the Evolver section of the ROM!

Several features have been added back to Evolution X Android 16 QPR2 as of today:

- Per-app volume
- Status bar clock chip styles
- On-The-Go mode and QS tile
- Media squiggle animation
- Flashlight blink on calls
- Privacy indicator toggles
- Screen off animations

Big ups to crDroid and other ROMs for bringing up most of these features from A16 QPR0.

Version changes for this month (Feb 2026) security patch:

A16 QPR2 = 11.6.1 = bq2
A16 QPR1 = 11.5.3 = now using bka
A15 = 10.14 = vic
A14 = 9.11 = udc

A16 QPR0 will be dropped this month in favor of QPR1 and QPR2 already booting for most devices.
