Jaybird 5.0.6 is released https://www.firebirdsql.org/en/news/jaybird-5-0-6-released
Anniversary of FIrebird 2.5 - grand-grand-parent of v5
On October 4, 2010, Firebird 2.5 was released. This version proved to be highly effective, leading many organizations to continue using it despite increasing compatibility issues with modern Operating Systems and its inability to fully utilize resources on current server hardware.
However, it's now time for users to consider upgrading.
Firebird 5 demonstrates significant performance improvements, with some benchmarks showing up to 4 times better performance. It also handles higher loads more efficiently and is better optimized for contemporary hardware and virtualized environments.
To facilitate the migration process, several resources are available:
1) A free "Practical Migration Guide to Firebird 5" https://ib-aid.com/download/docs/fb5migrationguide.html
