IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN! Come out of your hidey-holes, put the interwebs down and come shake your tails with the plastic flamingoes at OMGWTFBBQ 2023!

This year is July 29th and 30th, at Sunken Meadow State Park's Field 4 (raindates of August 5th & 6th.) Cubbi hosts on Saturday and Warzy hosts on Sunday!

We tried to get the Pavillion this year but sadly it was booked already for the summer, SO Warzy and I will be scoping out a newer, bigger location within Field 4 for our motley crew of misfits!

The food fare will be hamburgers, hot dogs, sausages, and whatever you crazy cats and dogs and etc feel like bringing along as delicious, delicious sacrifice to the Gods of Grilling. (The fish tacos will make their return on Sunday!)

Bring your towels and bathing suits for fun at the beach! Bring your fursuit if you feel like sweating or just your tail/ears if you don't! Bring a chair if the wooden benches hurt your butt! BRING A BAG OF ICE IF YOU CAN we always need ice, and if you've got a spare cooler well shoot, we could use those too! Charcoal also appreciated! Bug spray also advised! BRING YOUR OWN BEERS.

AND WEAR SUNSCREEN. SERIOUSLY.

CAR POOLING IS STRONGLY ADVISED AS THERE IS A $10 PARKING FEE!

Rules of the event:
-NO UNDERAGE DRINKING. Cubbi and Warzy would love to avoid jail time because Suffolk County has some strict social host laws. YOU WILL BE CARDED.
-As per Park regulations, hard liquor and drugs (marijuana included) are not permitted in the park.
-DO NOT ACT UNREASONABLY. We have a good reputation with Park Police and the Park staff from years prior and we’d very much like to keep it that way. *If you have to think about whether or not you should do something, ya probably shouldn't.*
-Sunscreen. Bring it. Wear it. This is a rule. We'll have some available.
-If you bring someone who's under 19, you're responsible for them. We ain't baby sitters.
-Leave the drama at home. Or write it down and give it to Warzy to burn in the fire.
-Keep all behavior and attire rated PG; this is a public park and there’s bound to be little kids (and mommy Karens) around.
-Obey all directives from Park staff.
-Zero tolerance policy on bigotry of any kind.

As stated above: Parking is I believe $10 dollars. It MAY be free with an empire pass which is purchasable from the state for a year or possible to be borrowed from your local library!

-This is the last meet our long time manager Steve and its not entirely clear if/when the next bowling meet will happen. Steve has been reallllly good to us the last many a years, so likewise if you want to give him a card or a farewell I'm sure he would appreciate it. If bowling gets put on hiatus, we'll make sure to run some park meets to fill the void for a bit.
