MangaType

Hello everyone, no new chapters will be uploaded to the site anymore, and it will close in a couple of months:

At one point, I became interested in the idea of automatic processing and translation of manga/manhwa/manhua. Afterwards, I looked at browser extensions and the MangaMTL site and enthusiastically implemented my version for English/Korean/Japanese/Chinese, and later supplemented it with a website:

Synthetic data, markup, training, ready-made OCR models, a database parser from Mangaupdates, a website, proxy
Mainly, I use newtoki, so a parser was written for it

The full cycle has been implemented, it was interesting

However, the specifics of piracy impose their own limitations on development and publicity. And for my personal manga collection, I don't need additional storage and almost constant GPU work

Therefore, I am freeing my GPU from translating manga for MangaType to focus on other things

For illustration, I am attaching examples of markup and created synthetic data
