He could not reach for the gun, unless he would jam his head down. Especially since there are 3 agents on top of him.

🇺🇸 THIRD ANGLE:

The guy was pepper sprayed and got in between the activists and ICE during a fight.

He to some extent was unlucky to be in that exact spot.

🇺🇸‼️ THIS HAPPENED:

1) This guy (US citizen) went to confront ICE.
2) An altercation started.
3) He resisted arrest.
4) While on the ground, the agent in the grey shirt saw he had a gun in his belt.
5) The agent started removing the gun and yelled “Gun!”
6) The agent took the gun and walked off with it.
7) The other agents did NOT notice that the suspect had been disarmed.
8) After hearing “GUN”, the other agents interpreted the suspect’s movement as him reaching for his gun.
9) He was shot.

→ Decide for yourself. He was unarmed when shot, but the agents had no way of knowing that because they didn’t see the gun being removed. Quite the opposite—they were alarmed by the agent screaming “GUN”.

If the grey-shirt agent had yelled “I GOT HIS GUN!” it might have gone differently.

ICE agents screamed in this moment: “GUN! GUN! GUN!”

So other agents shot to stop him from taking the gun.
