Last night, the new Straume Hall opened at Splendid Palace, dedicated to the Oscar-winning cat. I had been waiting for a special moment to watch the movie for the very first time, and it feels like that moment has finally arrived.

To mark the opening of Straume Hall, starting Dec 12, Splendid Palace presents a special Friday film cycle, “All Films About Cats” hand-picked by the Straume team.

Neverwhere — the newest house music event series by the Benjamin House team — will take place in the building this Saturday.

Alongside the local lineup, Strangelove (the owner of the Astradanza party) and Aiste Regine from Vilnius will perform at the first event.
Everyone who has a dog knows that we have huge problems with dog infrastructure here in Riga. Last week, the Eksporta Dog Park received new equipment, but unfortunately the overall appearance of the park is still not at its finest.

This was the first dog park created in Riga 20 years ago, and hopefully one day it will look relevant. But for now — we’re going to test the new equipment. This city teaches to be happy with small things like nowhere else.
