UPDATE: The hero from Bondi has now been identified as Ahmed El Ahmed, a 43-year-old fruit shop owner. He tackled and disarmed one of the terrorists by seizing their firearm and was then shot in the leg and shoulder by another attacker.

He is currently hospitalized and undergoing surgery, praying for a speedy recovery.
