🚨 Renat Gafarov has now laundered all stolen funds (over $200,000) through Tornado Cash, fully obscuring their origin. In a strange move, he once again sent a small transaction of $132 to Michael Semin’s wallet, possibly as a continued attempt to mislead or defame him.

🚨 Renat Gafarov has started moving stolen funds through Tornado Cash, a known mixing service often used to obscure transaction trails. This move indicates an attempt to hide his tracks and complicate the tracing of funds, despite the high risk of his addresses being flagged or blacklisted.

It’s important to note that by using Tornado Cash, Renat is violating multiple laws, including international Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations and sanctions enforced by the U.S. Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), which has officially blacklisted the service.

Update about the situation involving Renat Gafarov. He has not responded to any emails or messages despite multiple attempts. He's hiding from police interrogation.

Additionally, it appears he has started laundering stolen funds through DeFi protocols, converting them into Ethereum. Alarmingly, he has sent small transactions to Michael Semin’s personal wallet, seemingly as an attempt to defame him — an absurd move, especially given the trivial amounts involved ($40.61).

Almost all cloud infrastructure of ReHold was discontinued, currently, we received a payment extension from DigitalOcean but the team doesn't control any funds so cannot pay the bills for servers, rpc nodes, etc. Employees still didn't receive their salaries.

Renat is now transferring all remaining funds into Ethereum (https://platform.arkhamintelligence.com/explorer/address/0x6930C0eF40A7610900e8164eddd0C5F2e811C794). With the assistance of Etherscan and Match Systems, his wallet flagged for phishing and hacking activities a week ago.

URGENT ANNOUNCEMENT:

Renat Gafarov has stolen $190,000 of client funds by using unauthorized access to our Cloudflare account and ReHold admin panel. He transferred the funds to the wallet address: 0x6930c0ef40a7610900e8164eddd0c5f2e811c794, after which he revoked administrative access for [email protected], effectively paralyzing the company.

As a result, clients can no longer withdraw their funds, and the company's operations are severely disrupted.

Also, there are logs of unauthorized withdrawals of clients funds. It was done by using these IPs: 2a00:1fa0:c6db:176d:891c:92df:b8d0:a6f5 and 178.70.139.188.

Renat started to withdraw clients' funds from 2:00 UTC to 5:00 UTC, approximately. These IPs, according to info from https://www.iplocation.net/, are linked to Russia, Saint Petersburg, where Renat lives by our information.

We take immediate legal action to recover the stolen assets and restore normal operations. Further updates will be provided as the situation unfolds.
