#I've been working on a phonetic English writing/spelling system and it's been a cool journey. I realized that it's kinda cool to have more than one way of spelling words that sound the same because then you can see that they are different words, but that made me realize that words that are spelled the same but have two different pronunciations are extra wacky, silly examples are "wind" and "wound," what are your thoughts about this?

english is truly atrocious in this department. but i think you'll find that in any language, sometimes these things carry some sentimental value. they show that the language has been on some adventures

the way to get better isn't by being bored, or, as you call it, "practicing (for later? who knows)". the way to get better is by having a good time playing. This could be great news or bad news depending on whether you like playing. But even if you don't, there's still great news because you don't actually have to play

the past 2 years don't make any difference. there's no need to 'overcome' them. the current time now is still "now" just as it ever was

if you're songwriting, you might as well assume that the only way to describe something is with the thing itself. so, in your case, make a song you are certain is terrible, even if you don't think anyone could describe why. that is the nature of this exercise
