Introducing Device Verification (DV) on UpRock!

The UpRock team has been working hard to release one of the most challenging and critical features for DePIN projects: Device Verification (DV).

🔍 What is Device Verification?
DV is a sophisticated system designed to ensure fairness, authenticity, and transparency within the UpRock ecosystem. By implementing a scoring system that verifies real devices based on hardware specs and usage patterns, we are taking a big step toward eliminating fraud and simulated environments. Genuine users will now be rewarded for their legitimate contributions, leveling the playing field for all! 🎯

❌ KYC Out, DV In!
We’re not fans of KYC either—so instead, we’re focusing on DV to ensure fairness. Though we’ll keep KYC on the side for specific tough cases, the future of UpRock is all about verification through the devices themselves. For now, DV is rolling out to our Android users first, with iOS and other platforms to follow soon!

🔧 How Does it Work?
Once Android users update the app, they’ll see a new feature under Wallet > Devices called Device Testing.Here’s what to expect:


1️⃣ Testing Devices: We’ll run a short series of tests on your device to verify it’s real. During this time, make sure UpRock stays active in the background to avoid interruptions.2️⃣ Testing in Progress: You’ll get a notification when the testing is complete (it takes up to 7 days). Keep UpRock running to ensure your device gets verified!
3️⃣ Possible Outcomes: If your device passes, balances will be sent to your wallet. If it fails (e.g., due to emulators or detected mischief), you’ll be informed.


⚖️ Fair Distribution RoadmapThis update follows our Fair Distribution Roadmap, ensuring that rewards go to real, contributing members of the UpRock community. 🏅
